4 month check up

So we had to get a new doctor since Penelope and I are now on Chris's insurance through his work. And the new insurance didn't cover the doctor we had been going to. Here is a picture the new doctor we're going.

He is very nice and you can tell he just loves to work with little ones. Penelope is doing well and is growing nicely. She is still a really tall girl and above average weight. She has cute little rolls on her thighs, belly and has chubby little wrists. She did really well with getting shots. She made the saddest face and cry when she got the shots but calmed down quickly once I got to hold her and only cried a bit more when I had to put her clothes back on. She was knocked out by the time we got home from the appointment.

 But you really wouldn't know she had gotten shots that morning from how she was acting the rest of the day.

 

She LOVES the octopus! 

So first things first, Penny rolled over later the same day I did my last post! I'm so proud of her! She's grow up so fast and it's so fun to see her grow. I was looking through pictures of old videos of her yesterday and it is crazy how fast it's gone by so far! She's not a tiny newborn anymore. She laughs and smiles daily, I remember how exciting it was to see her smile and to hear her laugh for the first time. It's still super fun and I love every second of her smiling and laughing but it just isn't the same heart squeezing experience. The other day I took 60 pictures of & videos of her! I just couldn't get enough of her! It just of every day things. Her playing on the play mat, play with Chris, giggling you know the norm but I was like a paparazzi! Oh well I love the photos I got and I figure I won't look back and be like oh dang I took waaaaayy too many pictures of my baby! lol If anything I'll be saying why didn't I take more! So for your viewing pleasure billion more pictures of my beautiful little girl.

 She just had a blow out so that's why she's nakey and it was bedtime which is why she looks tired here but she's still so cute.

I know I just blogged a couple of days ago but I took some pictures. Annnnd I'm kinda in love with a lot of them. She is just so stinken cute!! Oh and I got pictures of her pretty much rolled over.. she's so close it's pretty ridiculous.

So the story behind the pictures.... last night Penelope decided that instead of staying asleep after eating it would be much more fun to wake up and play. Normally I'd just leave her in her bassinet and wait for her to fall back to sleep. But she was being very noisey and was starting to wake up Chris so I took her out and unwrapped her so she could play to her hearts content. I was playing with the ipad and looked up to see her like this! Nearly completely rolled over. If she wasn't so occupied with sucking on her hand I'm sure it would have been a complete roll. Oh well she'll get it soon enough.  

 And these were of this morning she was just playing away when she realized I was on the couch behind her. It was like she was saying "Oh hii mom! When did you get there?"

 Doing some serious tummy time. She rolled over mostly by herself here, I nudged her bum to let her know it was time for tummy time and she rolled the rest of the way over AND got her arm out from under her. I repositioned her arms to more comfortable looking spots though

 Look at all her hair! I'm glad that the bald old man look didn't stay for long. (around 2 months old she really looked like she had a receding hairline lol)

4 months

 Penny is 3 days away from being 4 months old now! It's so crazy how the time has flown. Quite a bit has changed since I last blogged. Penny giggles daily now, and has had quite a few laugh attacks! So stinken cute! She is so so so close to being able to roll over. She still loves to stuck on every and anything she can get close enough to her mouth. That has included but not limited to: her hands, her toes, my hands/fingers, Chris's nose, my cheeks, her clothes, the legs on her octopus toy, the hanging sun on an other toy, burp cloths and so much more. She been doing this thing where she'll chew on her pointer fingers while talking it's pretty funny. She also has been know to try and fit her whole fist into her mouth lol. She blows raspberries... well I'm not sure if I should call them raspberries she doesn't do it with her tongue but with her lips. We make that noise to her and now she does it too! She has become very vocal! She'll talk and squeal and make chewbacca noises. And can be very VERY loud with them. She goes down for naps sooooo easily now. In fact I'm in love with how easy she's become. She hardly throws fits anymore and usually is in a good mood. It is so so nice! She also takes her vitamins more easily. She used to kind of choke on them a bit. But she swallows them like a champ 

now.

 

 

 She likes to take showers with daddy and will try to lick at the water. She doesn't mind getting dried and dressed anymore. She usually isn't smiley but she doesn't mind it now.

 She still likes to snuggle up on my shoulder and is my lovey little girl

 She likes to smile but it is really hard to get on camera because she usually finds the camera distracting

 She does this a lot where she'll hold the binky and suck on her hand instead

 Doing tummy time... still doesn't love tummy time but still doesn't mind it.

 She is very sensitive to noises and want's to know where they are coming from. So she is always try to look at the TV when it's on... here she is bending over backward to try to look at it.
